I’m expecting my 1st child: what can I anticipate seeing at the Expo?

Some expectant parents have very little knowledge of what services and products are available to help them and find it hard to know where to start or which information to trust. Others have lots of knowledge, but want to ensure they have the latest information. Whatever your situation, the PBC BABY Expo can help!

The PBC BABY Expo sources the best expert advice, parenting tips and product innovations to help guide you through the options and assist you to make informed choices on what’s best for you and your little one. Whatever your needs, the PBC BABY Expo has a huge range of local and national exhibitors to assist you.

You have the opportunity to talk directly to experts, support groups, health care professionals, government departments, leading companies and small business operators one-to-one, all under the one roof. You can source information and ask questions during the Expo that are relevant to your own situation; you can find out where to get further information from and you can touch and feel products and even try them out.

You will find exhibitors’ covering the following area’s related to your pregnancy and the needs of your unborn child:

The PBC BABY Expo sources the best early childhood expert advice, parenting tips and product innovations to help guide you through the options and assist you to make informed choices on what’s best for your child as they grow and develop.

You may be seeking advice on managing some of the key milestones of your child’s life, such as toilet training, teething, nutritional needs, education and health care or behavioural issues.... or you may want to find the latest options on children's activities and clothing. Whatever your needs, the PBC BABY Expo has a huge range of local and national exhibitors to assist you on your parenting journey.

You have the opportunity to talk directly to experts, support groups, health care professionals, government departments, leading companies and small business operators one-to-one, all under the one roof. You can source information and ask questions during the Expo that are relevant to your own situation; you can find out where to get further information from and you can touch and feel products and even try them out.

There are also lots of free activities for children to participate in at the main PBC BABY Expo so that you can enjoy your day out together. Have fun, creative play experiences in our feature play areas and much more.

Is there a room for feeding/changing my baby?
 

Yes. We have Baby Care Rooms available at all of our Expos. These rooms are fully equipped with:

  • Nappy change areas
  • Baby feeding areas including private breastfeeding spaces
  • Kitchen area to warm bottles or food

Please note, food regulations prohibit warming bottles in the catering area

Is there easy access for pushers/prams?
 

As a parenting event, the PBC BABY Expo attracts lots of parents visiting us with pushers and children in tow. We design our floor plan with extra wide aisles, lots of pathways and rest stops along the way to assist traffic flow and ensure our guests comfort.

What if my child is lost?
 

Report your lost child to the Information Desk immediately. You will find this desk at the entrance to each PBC BABY Expo. Our friendly staff are trained to help locate lost children.

Can I return to the Expo on subsequent days?
 

Yes. You must register for another ticket for the next day so we can scan you in again. This is a great opportunity to return with your partner, children, friends or grandparents if they did not accompany you on your first visit and show them the highlights you found, or simply to have more time to explore the extensive range of product innovations and expert advice.

Can I get a pass out?
 

Pass out stamps are no longer required. Simply exit the Expo and upon your return you'll be asked to show your e-ticket to be rescanned and let back into the venue.

Can we bring our own food?
 

Absolutely. We understand that children can be fussy eaters or that you could have special dietary concerns and we want to ensure that your experience with us is enjoyable. We are happy for you to bring along your own food and refreshments, however due to health regulations, the catering area cannot heat, cool or otherwise prepare any meals not purchased at the Expo. If you would rather purchase food and drinks at the PBC BABY Expo, there are child-friendly menu items available for purchase at the cafe.

Can I get cash out at the Expo?
 

ATM’s can be found nearby however PBC Expo is a mostly cashless event. You will also find that many exhibitors have EFTPOS facilities available for purchases.

Can I purchase at the Expo?
 

You will find opportunities to purchase products at the PBC BABY Expo from a wide range of exhibitors. Please keep in mind that the primary purpose of the Expo is to provide information on what’s best for you, your pregnancy, baby or child. You will often find products are for display or demonstration purposes only and that many Exhibitors are only at the Expo to explain the product or service they can provide. In these instances, you will be able to purchase the products or services you like.

Do babies/children need a ticket?
 

Yes, each child does require a ticket.

Where can I access all my tickets?
 

To see all of your tickets, please search your emails for our ticketing provider "Lup". You can also visit the PBC homepage and go to the relevant expo. Each ticketing page has a prompt to resend your ticket at the bottom of the page.

I just realised that I need a ticket for my baby/child and now the Expo is booked out. What do I do?

I need to change the day I am attending?
 

No need! Your ticket is valid for entry on the single day of your choice. You can enter and exit as many times as you like on the same day. A new ticket is required if you wish to come back on subsequent days.

The Expo is booked out and I have a friend/family member who would like to come with me. Can I get them a ticket?
 

Please email enquiries@eventcrowd.com.au and our friendly team will assist you as much as they possibly can.

I think I need more time at Expo. Can I come back tomorrow/the next day?
 

Absolutely! Should you find you need more time, simply register for tickets for the next day.

I think I need more time at Expo. Can I come earlier?
 

Our doors open at the time stated on our website. Entry prior to this time is not allowed.

Do I need to book a specific child ticket when I book my ticket?
 

Yes, each child does require a ticket. Simply add your child into your order.

Does it matter if all tickets are under the same name?
 

Yes, we ask that you do provide the names of all ticket holders as this is the only way you can enter competitions at the Expo.
