Getting the help you need
You will receive lots of different parenting tips from friends and family. It is important to choose what feels right for you and your growing family. There is no way to be a perfect parent, so don't be too hard on yourself as you figure it all out!
You will have challenging days with your children and it's okay to feel like you haven't gotten anything done. Caring for your baby and children takes up a lot of time. There’s nothing wrong with asking for help from your family and friends when you need it. Don't feel like you have to do it all! Often this can make a huge difference to how you're feeling.
Support Services
There are many great services available to support you on your journey - this may be your midwife, GP, Lactation Consultant or Child Health Nurse. Don't hesitate to reach out if you need support or guidance. We are here for you!
Breastfeeding support
The Australian Breastfeeding Association runs the National Breastfeeding Helpline (1800 686 268) where you can speak to a trained breastfeeding counsellor. The Breastfeeding Helpline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for any breastfeeding concerns.
